Caregiver/Caretaker Job Responsibilities:

Assists the patient or elderly person with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals in accordance with the specific service plan.

Allows and encourages patients and the elderly to perform as much of their own care as feasible.

Serves meals to patients or the elderly in the dining room or apartments, and may assist with meal preparation using preplanned menus.

Encourages patients or the elderly to eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids while respecting the patient or elderly person ‘s freedom to choose, and monitors and reports changes in the patient or elderly person ‘s eating habits to the supervisor.

Initiates and participates in leisure activities offered for patients or the elderly as stated in the activity calendar, and encourages patients or the elderly to interact and engage in scheduled events or programmes in order to create connections with other patients or the elderly.

Maintains patient or elderly person’s records on a daily basis in accordance with company policy and procedures; documents medication distribution as applicable, leisure activities, incidents, and observations; reports any changes in patient or elderly person ‘s physical condition and/or behaviour, and visitors; observes and reports each patient or elderly person ‘s health and emotional condition; and promptly reports any changes in patient or elderly person ‘s physical condition and/or behaviour.

Assists patients or the elderly with medication as defined in the medication procedure; assists or supervises patients or the elderly who self-administer medication; follows physician orders and state laws to administer medications to patients or the elderly who are unable to self-administer their medications; and demonstrates understanding of and adherence to medication policies and procedures.

Maintains a clean, safe, and organised environment for the patient or older individual; does general housekeeping; and adheres to cleaning schedules for patient or elderly person laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, restrooms, kitchen, and other places.

In an emergency, follows correct protocols and reacts quickly and favourably to patient or elderly person calls for aid.

Encourages teamwork by interacting cooperatively with coworkers.

कंपनी की नीति और प्रक्रियाओं के अनुसार रोगी या बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति के रिकॉर्ड को दैनिक आधार पर बनाए रखना; दस्तावेज़ दवा वितरण के रूप में लागू, अवकाश गतिविधियों, घटनाओं, और टिप्पणियों के लिए; रोगी या बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति की शारीरिक स्थिति और/या व्यवहार, और आगंतुकों में किसी भी परिवर्तन की रिपोर्ट करने के लिए; रोगी या बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति के स्वास्थ्य और भावनात्मक स्थिति को देखता है और रिपोर्ट करना; और रोगी या बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति की शारीरिक स्थिति और/या व्यवहार में किसी भी बदलाव की तुरंत रिपोर्ट करना।
